David Letterman mentioned Cloverfield everyday this week on his show. Here is a medley of mentions:

Dave also interviewed TJ Miller:

  1. "Hey you--Hey Hey you! Weh-Weren't you in that thing--Who are you???" lol...

Nice to see one of them promoting through talk shows. Though I'm not big Letterman fan, would've been funnier to see him at Conan O' brien.

  4. So, I have a question... and don't get me wrong, I REALLY love these guys, but I'm just confused.

T.J. Miller is in the movie for 2 1/2 minutes.. he gets interviewed on Letterman. Mike Vogel plays the brother, but he's billed as the "star" of Cloverfield...

Where the hell is Michael Stahl-David? He's in nearly every single shot of the film but little or nothing is ever mentioned about him. Is he purposefully shunning media attention? Has anyone read anything about this or have any insight?

  5. Haha gotta love T.J. I hope we get to see him in many movies to come. I wish they would stop talking about the throwing up thing though, it's a thrill ride, some people will vomit, end of story. I think Dave is loving this movie as much as we all are. Hell ya Cloverfield, you rocked us, and left us wanting more.

    2. it was good to see Letterman again, I have not watched him too much since Bill Hicks was censored on his show.

    3. with "Lost" returning this thursday, anyone know any good blogs that cover "lost" as this blog does?
(by far, the best site for cloverfield news and updates are here)

    Thanks,
    Mazzy

  8. FunBoxBoards,

There are LOTS of Lost websites, but my favorite (and I also help run it), is TheLostCommunity.com. It has a similar feel to this site. We discuss the episodes each week, plus we have a podcast.

Also, don't forget to watch all the "Lost: Missing Pieces" episodes, the latest one is a doozy! You can watch them at ABC.com, or I have them all archived at LostMobisodes.com

I'm going to go out on a limb and say
http://thelostcommunity.blogspot.com/ might work. Dennis also might recommend it, you know since it's his "other" site. :)

  12. Cloverfield dropped to 4th place in it's second weekend at the box office with $12.7 million in sales, a 68% drop, even got beat out by 27 Dresses, grrrr. :-( Must have been all the dumb people who got motion sick spreading the word that it's the "worst movie ever", ugh, so irritating! They bashed the movie hard!

  13. Yeah, what betho said. Also, a lot of my friends just don't have time to get around to it, commonly said words include "I want to see it, but..." I guess Cloverfield just isn't a MUST see like Harry Potter, LOTR, or another well known adaptation.

    My favorite comment by Dave:
"I'm just sitting there thinking, where IS Spider-Man?"

  14. Ehh...a lot of movies go from 1-0 in a week, especially thrillers. It's a limited audience, and the fact that it hit the top at all is incredible. Doesn't say anything about the movie...just says that the people who wanted to see it saw it. That's fine by me.

  15. Does anyone else find themselves continuously coming back to this site multiple times during a day in a vain attempt at some closure regarding the events of this cleverly marketed film?

    Err...Yeah, me neither.

  16. I do.....sadly

cuz I think it's all over now...I held out so much hope when tido and tag 're-opened'....but that hope is fading....fast.

  17. Haha I'm with ya there Tyler. Actually since the first teaser came out I've been following this site and reading people's spectulations, yet during those several months I've only posted 4 times at the most. But I must say it's been pretty entertaining and I haven't been so pumped to see a motion picture in a long time. It definitely made me appreciate the film, regardless of what people may have said about it.

And I find it ironic that I've actually posted more a week AFTER the film released, and for some reason I just can't stray away from it. Although any traces of clues or viral insanity officially confirming a sequel may or may not be a long time coming, I'm still going to check on this site regularly.

Seriously, there's just NO WAY this is over just yet!
